November classes are now full - we're currently accepting registrations for Intro to Sewing classes starting January 5th (6-9pm) and January 9th (1-4pm). Intro to Evening Wear starts on January 13th (6-9pm). Fashion Illustration classes are starting on January 4th (6-9pm). Private sewing and illustration classes are always available. PACTfashion Graduation!

PACTfashion provides sewing and design classes to at-risk youth around the GTA. This session, PACT youth at The Make Den designed and created this stunning purple velvet prom dress, that will eventually be donated to a girl living at Covenant House, a shelter in downtown Toronto. Juanita's Eveningwear!

Juanita made her cocktail dress using fabric from an old 80's mumu - and look at it now! She designed her bustier to fit her perfectly, and used gathers at the waist to create an elegant silhouette. As a graphic designer, Juanita loves to play with colours and thought this electric salmon pocket lining would look great with her teal and silver dress fabric. Congrats Juanita!!!

Wednesday night Kimono-making!!!

Peter and Allison both finished their Kimono tops this week! They used a heavy wool felt that works really well with this pattern.
Sarah finished her bag last week, and started working on her leather vest this week - more pics to come!!!

PACTfashion and The Make Den at The Koolhaus

PACT held its annual fundraiser on Oct 28th at the Koolhaus, and asked PACTfashion students to produce, style and model in a runway fashion show!!! The fashion show featured many of the dresses which we had made for girls living at Covenant House. The PACTfashion girls were up to the challenge and showed up hours before call time for hair, makeup and some backstage fun. Check out the incredible results!!!
